Roger Soler, born in Argentina and raised in Peru, has been an integral part of the local, national and international running community for over 30 years – as a participant, consultant and as an event director. While attending UTSA, he was the first ever NCAA national competitor for UTSA, setting school records (1500 and 5000 meters) that still stand today. It was no surprise Roger’s passion for running took him to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.
Lisa Soler, born in Castroville, Texas, met Roger at UTSA when they were both Physical Education Majors. She has been a part of Soler’s Sports since the “dream” stage of the business, back in the ‘80’s! Raising the 3 Soler children, and working as a Physical Education Teacher and later a Kindergarten Teacher, Lisa now partners with Roger to take care of the daily business of Soler’s Sports and meeting with clients to organize Race Events.
