Join us as the City of Windcrest honors our first responders and remembers those lost on September 11th 2001 in the Fourth Annual Windcrest 9/11 Remembrance Race.
This race is for everyone. You can walk or run, just come out and get active!
We have an adaptive category as well.
Stick around for the awards ceremony and light food.
Can’t attend, but want to support? There’s a Sleepwalker option! Stay home and run in your sleep. It’s your way of supporting the first responders of the City of Windcrest.
All proceeds benefit the Windcrest Fire Department and the Windcrest Police Department.

AWARDS:
Overall Male/Female in the 5K
1st-3rd in age groups:
15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Top 2 Male/Female in Adaptive 5K
This race will not be chip timed. We will go old school and hand time this event. You’ll receive an index card at the finish line. Pay attention to your finish time and write it down on the index card. Place it in your age group basket. We’ll have volunteers there to help.
Registration Information
PRICING: 5K’s and 1 Mile Walk (1 Mile is not chip timed)
$30 until midnight 5/31/26
$35 until midnight 9/9/26
$40 until race day.
Children Ages 4-10 – $10 wih paid adult. (Option to purchase a shirt at time of registration)
Children Ages 3 and Under: Free with paid adult
No cash or checks. Please register online.
Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS
No refunds/deferrals are given for personal decisions not to attend, including injuries/sickness/work schedules. Please see your confirmation email with instructions on how to sell/transfer your registration, or contact Lisa@solerssports.com for help with this task.
