Helping children with special needs learn to ride
a 2-wheeled bicycle…
Learning to ride a bike is a childhood rite of passage. For a child with special needs, this experience often seems unattainable. Kinetic Kids & Lose the Training Wheels strives to make this dream possible.
Kinetic Kids is a non-profit that provides sports & recreation programs
for children with special needs in the San Antonio area.
In collaboration with Lose the Training Wheels, Kinetic Kids hosts a 1 week bike camp annually, for children with special needs who want to learn to ride a 2-wheeled bicycle.
Volunteers are needed to assist as a
This individual will walk & run alongside a child as they are learning to ride a bike.
They will provide physical support and encouragement.
Training sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes long.
Volunteers are asked to commit to 1 time slot for the full 5 days of bike camp.
