Marathon phenom Sammy Wanjiru died today at the age of 24, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy in the running world, particularly for one so young. Wanjiru was the first Keynan to win a gold medal in the marathon — with a time of 2:06:32, almost three minutes faster than the Olympic record.
